ABOUT US Lake Vermilion Trading Company has a very simple mission statement. Provide great sporting goods, at great prices in a clean, friendly environment. Mark and his family moved to the Lake Vermilion area in March of 2002, after many years of weekend junkets to the lake from Minneapolis. His personal experience was that finding a good selection of sporting goods was not available. So, Mark took the plunge, quit his job and put together an idea that is now LAKE VERMILION TRADING COMPANY & Big Dipper Bait on Hwy 53, in Cook, Minnesota. We're about great selection, great prices and a fun place to shop. The shop has departments which include; art, gifts, toys, clothing, footwear, paintball, water sports, camping, marine, fishing, hunting, guns, ammo, licenses, live bait, weekly fishing reports & great snacks including home made chocolates. We live on the lake, fish the lake, and know the lake. We hunt the area, know the area and can help put you on fish, fowl, upland or big game. As an avid musky hunter, Mark has taken the interests of Musky hunters to heart and stocks a full arsenal of Musky "anger management" equipment and tackle to help you in your pursuit of the mighty "Musky".
